I am a mother of four beautiful healthy children. I had my first child 7 years ago and my youngest is 9 months. I had all four vaginally and tore with my first baby and again with my second. Having four children takes a tole on your body especially since my last was 10lb 11oz. After I recovered, I resumed intercourse. However, it was not the same. After my first three children I had stretched some, but with my last it had gone to far. The first time I had intercourse after baby I couldn't really feel anything this lasted for a couple months. What is kegel exercising? A Kegel exercise, is the contracting and relaxing the muscles that form part of the pelvic floor.
How do you do a kegel exercise? You can do a kegel exercise anytime and anywhere. Just squeeze your pubococcygeus muscles as hard as you can.
Start by squeezing and holding. I do about 100 just before I go to bed then I do as many as I can holding it for as long as I can. I also try to do it during the day whenever I think about it. I did this for about a week, I really did not think I would notice much. But when I had intercourse with my husband there was a definite difference. My husband thought it was great. After another week of doing the kegel exercises, it was unbelievable the difference. That is when I decided I need to get on here and tell all you women out there about this. Even if you don't have a baby this is a great exercise and it will improve your love life.
If you would like to do a little extra, you can purchase a kegel exerciser. Personally I have not tried a Kegel exerciser yet. However, as much as the regular kegel exercises work the kegel exercisers might enhance it all the more.
